Light up a life this Christmas with Synergy and Ruah Community Services – here’s how you can help!

For many of us, Christmas is a time for celebrating with family and friends, sharing a meal and seeing the joy on children’s faces as they open their gifts from under the tree. But for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community, it can be a time of stress, anxiety, disappointment, or loneliness.

This is why Synergy has chosen to support Ruah Community Services (Ruah) this year, to help fund support services to the vulnerable and disadvantaged in the WA community this Christmas.

Ruah delivers tailored, wrap-around support for people in the WA community who are escaping trauma or experiencing a life crisis. Ruah’s services are integrated across four core focus areas:

Family Services - providing safety, at home and in the community, for women and children escaping the trauma of family and domestic violence.

Housing and Homelessness - supporting rough sleepers, people without a home and tenants at risk to find their feet.

Mental Health and Wellness - innovative programs and wrap-around support to help people overcome the challenges of chronic mental illness and create meaningful change in their lives.

Specialist Legal Services - free expert advice and representation from the Mental Health Law Centre and for people experiencing legal problems linked to care and protection proceedings, housing and homelessness, family and domestic violence and mental illness.

The Ruah Tree of Light, powered by Synergy Christmas appeal raises money for the work Ruah does to support people in the WA community who are at risk of or are experiencing homelessness, family and domestic violence and mental health issues.

Synergy will be donating $20,000 to Ruah Community Services to support Western Australians in need.

Raise money through your house decorations
If you’re decorating your home this year, join our Synergy Xmas Lights Trail. If you’d like to support Ruah, you can choose to raise money for Ruah through your profile page and help collect donations from visitors who come to enjoy your lights by encouraging them to donate here.
